Sandy Radley

“Everything happens for a reason.” - Aristotle

Sandy Radley is from Chaumont, NY and originally began coming to The Animal Doctors as a client when Dr. Blair Harff was asked by a colleague to take a look at her dog’s (Mickey) shoulder x-rays and provide her with a second opinion. Dr. Harff ended up performing orthopedic surgery on Mickey’s shoulder, and Sandy made the decision to keep Mickey’s care under him from then on. Over the years, Sandy and her family spent a lot of time at The Animal Doctors as clients, as Mickey unfortunately loved eating rocks and had to have surgery more than once to remove them from his stomach! Mickey was definitely a “regular” at the clinic!

After our team’s former receptionist, Sue Flynn, retired, Sandy applied for the lead receptionist position and immediately got it. When asked why she chose The Animal Doctors, she said that she absolutely loved the team that took care of Mickey and that she wanted to be a part of it.

Sandy is our lead client service representative (receptionist) and is an absolute rockstar! She is usually the first smiling face that clients see when they walk into our lobby. She enjoys hearing our clients’ stories about their pets and is always willing to sneak small cookies to our canine patients if they peak around the corner of the desk at her! She may spend the majority of her day assisting people checking in and checking out and managing telephone calls, but Sandy also keeps an eye on all of our hospitalized patients and keeps up-to-speed with everything that is going on with them. That way, she can be in the loop when clients call to ask how their pet is doing while hospitalized. Sandy has a heart of gold and truly wants to make sure that our patients get the best experience and care possible while they are here. She believes in teamwork and having each others’ backs. Sandy works diligently at the front desk to make sure things are running smoothly, but that doesn’t mean that she doesn’t have a little bit of fun while doing so! She loves a good joke and says that a fun fact about herself is that no one ever knows what’s going to come out of her mouth!

Outside of the clinic, Sandy loves to spend time out on the boat and watching her grandsons play sports. She also loves ATV riding, swimming, and yardwork. Her pride and joy is her beautiful black Labrador Retriever, Maggie Mae.

If you could leave one piece of information for every pet parent, what would it be?
