We provide a wide range of surgical services at The Animal Doctors from spay and neuter surgeries to more complex procedures like gastropexies, cystotomies and mass removals. Prior to surgery, each pet is examined to screen for any existing medical conditions that may increase anesthetic and surgical risk. Diagnostic tests may be recommended in order to get a more complete picture of your pet's health before administering anesthesia.
We utilize a variety of pain control medications before, during and after surgery to ensure that your pet is as comfortable as possible. If you have questions or concerns regarding anesthesia or surgery for your pet our veterinarians and staff members can answer questions and provide guidance on what is best for your pet.
During surgery our dedicated care team is present at all times, assisting with surgery using modern equipment to closely monitor blood pressure, heart rate and oxygenation. When surgery is complete our trained staff will continue to monitor in a quiet and safe recovery area while offering comfort and reassurance.
When you arrive to pick up your pet we will review aftercare instructions, including a pain management plan. We want to ensure that your loved one recovers as quickly and comfortably as possible.
